World of Lunar

In creating the world of Lunar I draw inspiration both the world around me and books I read as a child. I wanted a world that could be almost like our own, but also a world where people wanted to.

My two favorite Authors are C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. I loved how they could make worlds that I could escape to and I wanted to follow in their footsteps by making my own world for readers to escape too.

Nature was important part of making the world of Lunar. One of most trips into nature that helped inspired the world of Lunar was my trip to Ireland. The scenery there helped inspired one of the main places in the book. The Bone cliffs in the first book in the series is modeled after the Cliffs of Moher.

Looking out over the sea as the sea crashed against the rocks was wonderful. The light from the shallows and dark of deep of sea was a beautiful view. Also the fog that covered the distant islands that faced the cliffs. It was almost magical, and I wanted to pass on that magic to readers of Lunar series.
